How can I change or download ringtones?

** This tip is not valid on the BlackBerry Storm.  Skip to bottom of page for the step by step for the Storm.

To download a ring tone, follow these steps:

Depending on your wireless service provider, this feature might not be supported.

   1. From the Home Screen, go to Media, click Ring Tones.
   2. Select All Ring Tones.
   3. Click the Menu key.
   4. Select Download Ring Tones.
   5. Download ring tone of your choice.
   6. Make sure to select Save.  Here you will also have the option to select the folder in which you want your ring tone to be saved in,

       as well as have the option to check the box to set this ring tone as your current ring tone.

You can also find ringtones from your BlackBerry smartphone under the Help icon.

To change your ring tone, follow these steps:

   1. From the Home screen, go to Profile.

   2. Select Advanced.
   2. Highlight a notification profile.
   3. Click the Menu key.
   4. Click Show Ring Tones.
   5. Click a media folder that contains songs, ring tones, or a voice note.
   6. Click the Menu key.
   7. Select Set As Ring Tone.

To change your ring tone on a BlackBerry Storm, follow these steps:

1. Press the Sounds icon.
2. Select Set Ring Tones/Alerts.
3. Select a category.
4. Select Ring Tone, click on New Ring Tone.
5. Click the Menu key.
6. Select Save.
