What is the best blackberry?

Well, Undoubtedly:

1.- Bold 9000: GPS, WiFi, 3G, 624 MHz processor, 128 MB in RAM... 1 Gb internal memory...

2.- Javelin 8900: I Love 3.2mp Camera.

3.- Curve 8520:  Touch-sensitive optical trackpad it's better than Trackball navigation.

oo.- Storm 95xx: Sucks!

All depends on carrier, GSM or CDMA, as well as personal opinion.

The Bold is a good phone. If you are happy with AT&T's prices, then it is definitely a winner.

If you prefer Verizon, then the Tour is probably the best BB, with twice the memory of the Bold, better camera, and higher resolution screen. If the Tour (9550 w/ Wifi) was already available, it would make it a tough decision between the Bold and Tour. Once the Onyx is on the market, then the Bold will be further down the list.

I have a BlackBerry Storm (not impressed, in fact, annoyed) but I've played with the Tour several times and love it.  Wish it had WiFi though.

I'm using an 8310 Curve on Rogers.  It works well but I'm looking forward to the Storm 2.  Hopefully Rogers will carry it.

The Tour's only a little behind the Bold in processing speed, but has double the RAM which means a faster phone all-around, plus the higher resolution screen is a nice touch. Realistically too, if you have a decent data plan with VZW then the Wi-Fi doesn't matter with the Bold, because you can browse just as fast. Really the only reason why GSM networks have BBs with Wi-Fi is to compensate for the fact that data transfer speeds on that network aren't as consistently fast, ranging from 1.5G to 3.5G, whereas CDMA holds a much more consistent 3G, not to mention it has a wider coverage area in both the States and Canada, so it theoretically doesn't need Wi-Fi as an aid. I'd take the Tour over any other BB device any day.

Storm 2's another CDMA device, so technically it will be strictly a Telus/Bell phone, but since it's a world phone it will be unlockable so if you can buy it somewhere you can use it with Rogers.

Isn't the Storm 2 coming out as a GSM phone too?  I'm sure I read that on Crackberry.  Maybe I'm just dreaming...

Currently, it's the Tour 9630 by a small margin.

The reason the Bold isn't at the top anymore is because of the following:

- Tour has 256 MB RAM, which is 2x that of the Bold. Those who are familiar with BB's know this is a major upgrade as low device memory has been plagueing these devices for awhile now. This also makes the Tour quicker all around even with a slightly slower processor.

- Tour has a 3.2MP camera with autofocus and image stabilization. The Bold has a 2MP camera without any critical features.

- Tour has the highest resolution screen (in addition to the Curve 8900) of 480x360, the Bold has 480x320.

- Tour has a smaller form factor and is lighter than the Bold.

- Tour is on Verizon Wireless which is a faster network in general, but more reliable than AT&T hands down.

Although the Bold has a larger screen and Wifi and a slightly faster processor, it's really not the best BB on the market. The upcoming Bold 9700 should take the throne by a landslide when it's released.

(I dont understand why people even compare touchscreen phones with keyboard ones).

Excellent Post

being as I am a tour owner I like the post even more,   but 1 plus has to go to the Bold for having WiFi,  over the tour closing the margines a little, I am often in buildings with poor cell coverage but excellent Wifi coverage, it would be great to have Wifi on my tour.

as for the OP,  clearly he has never tried a CDMA device and he is just spouting off drivel.

The 8900 for sure!  WiFi opens up so many doors like UMA calls and data when there is no cell service around, plus the awesome stylish redesign over the 83XX series.  The Tour is great but no wifi is a fail for me even if it has 3G.  I am however looking forward to when the 9700 comes to T-Mo.  THAT will be the best BlackBerry ever!
