After somehow discovering that App World was no longer anywhere to be found on my storm through no action on my part, it was just gone. I decided to reinstall it while my phone was connected to my laptop. This is clearly an option through the website and my phone was already connected so I thought I'd go this route. First problem, explorer only, something that just infuriates me to start. Second problem even using explorer it just doesn't work!!.
So I disconnect my phone and install it directly which does actually work. I scroll through pages and pages and pages of disclosure agreements to click I agree and I'm welcomed by the feature items, one of wich is called Globovision Movil. It is a free app and what it does is provide me with "Breaking News and videos from Venezuela"
Is RIM serious about this? Why is this a "featured app"? Are featured apps simple a random selection of anything that they feel like putting up? If it is that is a complete joke and worthless. The ability to use and install apps is what makes a phone useful and this is a terrible demonstration of the for the blackberry. It's no wonder that every commercial I see and advertisement I read states that the company has an Iphone app. I've never seen any third party state that they have a blackberry app in an add.
Keep it up BB and we'll all switch to something else.
