Tour 9630 alerts & email

my tour 9630 the SMS & email alerts will not use the alert that i have it set to. i can set a alert for email and sms but when i get a message the phone will not use the alert i have set it to. i can do a battery pull and it will work ok for a while but then start screwing up again. over on crackberry others are having the same trouble with the 9630.

I have the same problem with my 9630 and its very frustrating. My ringtones as well are always going against what they are set for. Its a shame because I really enjoy this device. I don't have a lot of problems with it, but this is one that I cant resolve and it very frustrating. Really hoping for a software fix.

i found out that the tour 9630 has a software glitch and rim is aware of it and working on a fix by a software up date. the alerts and ringers may not stay on the ones that you have the phone set to it will change by its self.
